Finally had a chance to get out this morning and run a few errands so I decided to dress up “a bit”. I went with this simple maxi dress which is one of my most recent purchases from Target. The dress is thick, soft, and comfy so it’s the perfect dress to run around town and get things accomplished. I wore my Jimmy Choo platforms with this dress because they are the only ones that give me crazy height and comfort at the same time. They did take some time to get use though because when I first bought them I kept rolling my ankles every step I took.

Good morning! I’m currently watching Good Day LA, drinking coffee, and working on this post. That’s usually a typical morning for me. I have about 15 minutes before Izek wakes up though and then my day REALLY starts.
Yesterday I wore this fun and flirty tribal print two piece. I love this look for summer because the print is trendy and young. If I were to wear this out to the mall or a casual weekend, I would pair it with strappy wedges and a laid back fringe cross body bag in a fun bright color. But i personally love to glam anything up with heels!

* I also uploaded my June beauty favorites yesterday afternoon.*

Good morning! Wanted to wish you guys a happy 4th of July! I’ll be posting my look tomorrow morning because I still don’t know what I’m wearing today. But anyway, I was lacking in my outfit of the day posts because of my recent trip to New York City. So this is a look I wore over a week ago I believe.
I know a lot of people where wondering about my clip on ‘bangs’. They don’t necessarily match my hair color but I don’t mind that at all. It’s always fun to play around with fake hair because it really gives you a whole new look. I love them. You can find them in pretty much any beauty store that sells hair/extensions/wigs and such.

IMG_8535

Rock My Look:
Top: Burlington Coat Factory (My first time in that store in over 4 years and I found a lot of great things!)
Denim shorts: (I don’t even remember where I bought mine but I’m sure we all have a pair of favorite denim shorts inside our closets right?)
Shoes: DailyLook
Handbag: Alexander Wang duffle
Necklace: Vintage
Hair: High-bun using a a large hair donut and then I clipped on bangs.
Makeup: To watch the full on tutorial of this look click here. The video isn’t on my Youtube channel so I’m not sure if some of you watched it yet. (I’ll be making a dedicated post on the look with more pics and info sometime this week.)

Today’s look was centered around these shoes that have been collecting dust in my closet for the past few weeks. I love them don’t get me wrong, but it takes a bit more thought to style these because of the colors and the texture. I didn’t want to walk around looking like pumpkin during Halloween. So I went through some boxes full of clothes this morning and found this old dress from Forever 21. It must be at least 3 years old because I remember buying it when I use to live in South Central LA. I love the way the shoes look with the dress, though I must admit that the heels are a bit to “chunky” looking because of my height. But you guys know how I am about fashion ‘rules’. Don’t follow them, don’t care about them to an extend.

Today’s look of the day is not really today’s look of the day. It’s actually Sundays outfit. I bought this dress last Friday at Windsor when I went shopping with my Mom. A lot of you might recognize it from my last fashion haul posted on Saturday. (Video below) It’s a fun and trendy dress perfect for lazy Sunday’s.

Grunge Vs. Nerd

Fall is right around the corner; so to better prepare you, I put together a few sets from two hot fall trends, The Grunge and Nerd. As some of you might now, a few months back I took part of The Fitting Room. I had a great time on set going over these two hot fall trends and I can’t wait to style my own looks for my blog soon!

Grunge is not only a trend but also a lifestyle. It’s a sort of, rolled out of bed, cool, functional and effortless style.

- Signature by Levi Strauss & Co Western Plaid Shirt
- Denim Skirt
- Brinley Co. Round Toe Stud Accent Flats
- Double Grommet Belt

The Nerd is a trend that I’m eagerly waiting to experiment with this fall. I guess because I’m a girly girl at heart, and it has this good girl vibe that I love which I wouldn’t mind emulating once in a while.

I was in NYC this week for only a few short days working with Macy’s so I didn’t have a lot of down time to shoot all of my looks from this trip, but I did manage to shoot one outfit on the roof top lounge of the Hudson Hotel. I’ll be back soon with another behind the scenes post and travel pictures. Enjoy your weekend! XOXO

These past days it’s been too hot to wear anything but flowy tanks and short, shorts. I even wore these pink ones two day’s in a row. I bought them at Zara last summer and they’ve been my go to “girly-girl” pair. I paired it with this floral, feminine top, which was actually the center of the outfit to begin with. To keep everything else a bit muted, I went with neutral accessories. I also added a little unexpected twist by taking out my nude Alexander Wang tote with rose gold hardware.

“My Name is Gladiator!”

Happy Saturday morning! Today I wanted to share a new “outfit of the day” from yesterday. I’ve been meaning to take out my Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals for a while now and what better excuse than this extreme heat wave right?
They were a bit of a “splurge” item, but it was all worth it for me because they fit rather snug along the entire length of the sandal. It’s hard for me to find that in gladiators since I’m very petite. They’re also quite comfortable and can be worn in many ways.

Today’s look describes my style the best; fun, playful, and feminine. I started with this colorful maxi dress that I bought from Burlington Coat Factory a few months back and I paired it with gold jewelry and my favorite straw bag which was a major score from a thrift store. The bohemian feel of the dress also inspired my “Milkmaid Braids”.

Runway Inspired: Embody the Geo Prints

Today I felt inspired by the Marc Jocobs s/s 13 collection to play around prints in my wardrobe. It can be a bit tough to pull off the combination of two prints in one outfit, but the simplest way to do so is by mixing black and white geo prints together. At least, that’s where I like to start.

P.S.
I used baby oil on my legs for moisture & shine :)

I’ve had this asymmetrical skirt hanging in my closet for a few weeks now, but it’s not until I got a few alterations made to it that I was able to wear it out. I love that it’s a very versatile piece that can be dressed up or down. I wore it last night after arriving home from Miami. We had a family dinner that night so I decided to throw on heels, a red lip, and my extension.

Playing With Textures and Prints

Happy Sunday! I hope you’re all delighted with your weekend so far. I’m actually heading to a family BBQ right now but before I go, I wanted to share my outfit from yesterday’s meet up. Macy’s gave me the opportunity to shop for an outfit for the event, so I went with this fun look from Q Mack, a brand carried at Macy’s. I began with the sequence skirt and then I tried on a lot of different tops. I was going to originally go with a simple white button up, but that was to predictable and boring. So I ended up with this casual, long sleeve, stripped shirt which I loved because not only is it unexpected, but the colors paired well with the skirt. It made the look feel more fun and fresh in my opinion.

P.S. Ill be posting all the pictures from the meet up as soon as I get a hold of them. XO!
